Last week I had the pleasure of traveling back to NYC in partnership with W hotels for this years Governors Ball music festival. A 3 day festival hosted on Randall's Island. Featured acts included: Beck, The Strokes, Bob Moses, The Killers, HAIM, and Of Monsters and Men to name a few. Kanye was due to headline the final day but due to thunderstorms and severe rain the last day was cancelled. Just one reason I think they should keep the outdoor festivals to places like Coachella.
We had the pleasure of being chauffeured to and from the festival by Bentley Motors in their brand new Flying Spur. The car was absolutely stunning and drove like a dream. Also, with the given rain situation this made all the difference.
Day one kicked off with with perfect weather at the W Hotels cabana. Some of the highlighted acts were: Bob Moses, Robyn, Of Monsters and Men, Matt and Kim, Duke Dumont, Beck and The Strokes.
From inside the W hotels Cabana. Honestly I couldn't have asked for a better view.
Coffee break with our new friend Fliickman at Ludlow coffee before the start of day 2. Talking all things coffee and cameras. We're Leica people over here.
My travel companion, fashion consultant, and best friend Tania Sarin and myself during day two, about 37 seconds before it started down pouring. Check photo below.
Thank you for this weather NYC.
My daily festival wear, Vince and The Kooples. White pants last a lot longer during Gov Ball than they do during Coachella.
My favorite street in NYC. I was hoping these two would offer to take a photo of me here. They did not.
It would've been nice to share a photo of Kanye here - however, we knew he never stood a chance to the NY weather. Heres another from when The Killers absolutely killed it. Many thanks to Alyssa Keifer and the entire W Hotels team for providing such an incredible experience during Gov Ball 16.
